A few months ago, presidential elections took place in Afghanistan. The main competition was between the current president, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzi and Abdullah Abdullah Nadim Ramadan.
The result was that despite Ashraf Ghani‘s winning the election, Abdullah Abdullah claimed “Rigged Election” and that he has won.
The two candidates, however, held two Presidential inauguration ceremonies (in March 2020) before a judge and infront of their supporters and consequently Afghanistan faced with two presidents!
The United States finally intervened with all force in the case until it was able to persuade Ashraf Ghani to give up a little bit of complete refusal to give any role to Abdullah, and the second gave up his right to the presidency based on his claim to obtain the majority of votes.
As a result, in fact Afghanistan became one country with two heads, as Abdullah became the chief executive alongside Ashraf Ghani, the president of the country, but the Control of executive affairs between the two men remains in the hand of the American administration.
The situation in the United States of America these days is completely similar to the atmosphere of the presidental election period in Afghanistan, where Donald Trump claims to be the winner of the majority of American voters, while Joe Biden celebrates victory and is facing with congratulatory telegrams from home and abroad.
Trump is making a great effort to challenge Biden’s victory and claims that there was widespread fraud during the polls through repeated voting for one person, once by mail ballot and once by voting in polling stations, and also voting with the identities of deceased persons. Therefore, he has formed a large team of attorneys and lawyers to file complaints with courts in various states.
Because of this tense reality, the American street divided, and this reflected in the outbreak of violent and armed confrontations between supporters of the two parties in various cities. In addition to the severe congestion and armed clashes between people, and the atmosphere for a large civil war throughout the United States of America.
If the American administration was able to arrange matters between the competitors in Afghanistan and set the rhythm of the two heads Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, who can arrange matters between the two sides in the US?!
The situation in the US, however, is ambiguous and we should wait and see what will happen to the new administration of America.
